“Growth and Impact for future teachers and striving readers” 

TRI offers university partners a dual-impact tutoring model including:

  • Reading Ready and Reading Go! programs and training for future educators.

  • Providing tools and training that help university partners work within their school communities to offer one-to-one and small group tutoring for K-2 students in need of a high-impact literacy intervention. 


TRI’s university tutoring model impacts both future teachers and striving readers. Building the tutor-to-teacher pipeline is a critical component to strengthening current and future outcomes for students nationwide. This high impact model can be used to fulfill practicum, clinical coursework, as a Federal Work Study placement, and/or as a part-time paid employment opportunity for pre-service educators.
