The Reading Institute’s Science of Reading Intro Course offers ten modules of interactive and engaging content. The course was authored by Dr. Katie Pace Miles, professor at Brooklyn College and Founder & President of The Reading Institute. It blends subject matter expertise with instructional practice examples from real classrooms in NYC.
Reading Ready Educator Guide
The Reading Ready Educator Guide is an early literacy reading intervention designed to support a K-1 emergent reader to lift off into word reading and spelling. The program builds a striving reader's phonemic awareness, phonics, and spelling skills using multimodal activities and decodable books. The program includes 10 units that focus on exactly what emerging readers need to learn how to decode and encode words.
Reading Go
Reading Go is an elementary literacy intervention for striving readers. The program brings together some of the best instructional practices from the field of reading science into a highly engaging, multimodal session that provides students with explicit and systematic instruction to support their foundational reading skills. Every Reading Go lesson provides a student with the opportunity to work on all five of the essential components of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
